I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University Carlos III. During 2013-2016 I was recipient of a “Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship” with an outgoing phase of 2 years in the MCS Division of Argonne National Laboratory. During the fellowship I was investigating techniques for reforming software I/O stack of large-scale platforms for addressing the challenges of scaling several orders of magnitude in the CLARISSE project.

I am coordinating Parallel ARCOS, a group of researchers from the ARCOS Research Group investigating in High Performance Computing and Parallel I/O for large-scale distributed memory architectures.

I am actively involved in several international collaboration networks focussing High Performance Computing and large-scale systems: Joint Laboratory for Extreme-Scale Computing, ETP4HPC: European Technology Platform for High Performance Computing, NESUS: Network for Sustainable Ultrascale Computing (COST action), and HIPEAC: European Network of Excellence on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation.
